Wrapping Up 2024: Q4 New Features
First things first, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of our amazing D4H users for another incredible year! 2024 may be winding down, but there’s been no let up from our crewm4tes here at D4H. Let's take a look at the new features and enhancements that we launched this quarter.
Operations Center
New! Alert Templates with Instant Send Mode ⚡️
D4H Alerting got a big upgrade! Alert Templates allow you to create pre-built messages for common scenarios, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and speed when you need it. Each template can include predefined recipients (such as groups or on-call personnel), response options, and even preset severity levels and alert channels. Need to send an alert even quicker? Instant Send Mode dispatches your templates instantly, bypassing any extra steps or customization.
New! Alert Response Window ⏳
This new feature allows you to define a specific timeframe for recipients to respond to your alerts. Whether it’s an urgent call for action or a routine notification, response windows ensures responses are collected within a set timeframe.
New! Map Points Of Interest (POI) 📍
Now you can quickly find essential places like hotels, hospitals, and police stations directly within your D4H map. Simply search for a keyword and we'll display all matching facilities. Even better, you can click on these search results and 'save them' as a map note, or create a new row in a Status Board.

New! Consistent Contact Importing 📱
Operations Center now automatically imports phone numbers with country codes from Team Manager for consistent formatting. No Team Manager? No problem! You can still add numbers manually with the country code.
New! LINZ Basemaps 🇳🇿
This was highly requested from our Kiwi users! We’ve teamed up with Toitū Te Whenua to bring Land Information New Zealand imagery and topographic maps to D4H.

New! Introducing Bulk Actions ✅
Just this week, we announced a powerful new feature that will save you precious time and effort: bulk actions for equipment and members. Bulk Actions allow you to update multiple records simultaneously. Whether you need to change the status of 20 people, assign the same value to 100 pieces of equipment, or delete numerous incorrect entries, this feature simplifies the task.
Team Manager Enhancements
- More Theme Color Options: You can now match your D4H header bar to your organization's branding.
- Improved Inspection Reports: Easily print or skip the inspection overview. The checklist now starts on a separate page, followed by signature and date fields for efficient record-keeping.
- Team Manager API v3: We've added a host of new features to our API, giving you even more power and flexibility to integrate with Team Manager.
- Equipment Usage Count On Mobile App: Previously you couldn’t see how many equipment items were used unless you tapped into each type. Now we show the number in the tab selector.
