Real-Time Weather Conditions & Forecast for Incident Management
This month we've added real-time weather forecasts to D4H Incident Management. We've also added a new editor for permission profiles, and better form templates within your plays and scenarios. Read on!
Weather Conditions and Forecast
If weather conditions are an important factor during your response, our new weather module within D4H Incident Management will help you to identify what is about to hit you. With a single click, we’ll show you the weather patterns over the next few days, with trend lines for rain, temperature, visibility, precipitation intensity, wind speeds, max gusts, and direction.
We’ll default the weather location to the location of your current situation, so it should automatically populate once you declare an incident. There are two components: the current weather conditions button on the top navigation and the weather forecast module on the left sidebar.
Permission Profiles Editor
This new feature is a dedicated screen that allows team administrators to build and manage permission profiles independently of any users. Before, administrators had to go into a user’s profile and create permissions from there. You may now also delete permissions profiles.
Pre-Fillled Forms for Different Scenarios
Before the feature, users could only create empty forms at channel-start time using plays. Administrators can now define pre-filled forms and pre-defined form directory structures within collections. It’s then possible to import those forms into an existing channel or at channel start-time using a play. For example, you could pre-build the entire first operational period of an ICS-led incident or folder structure for each division.
