New Feature! 🏃 Alert Delivery Sequences
Your alerts now have a very particular set of skills! Depending on the alert severity, chase your alerting recipients across multiple channels in a timed sequence with, auto-retry, auto-skip, and simultaneous channel alerts. Don't get 'Taken', you will find them, and you will alert them!
Users select a Severity level for each alert you initiate in D4H Alerting. Severities are custom and configurable in the Admin Area. You can add as many severities as you wish. Previously, severities determined which channels (e.g. SMS, Phone Call, App Alert, Email, etc.) the alert would be immediately sent over but it didn't allow for any escalation or retries.

Customers on our Professional Plan can now set up multi-step workflows as a delivery sequence that will escalate or repeat across multiple channels with wait times between each step.

You can add as many steps as you'd like, with one or multiple channels attempted at each step. If a user gives a response to an Alert (responding with one of 9 response options you can add to an alert), e.g. "Acknowledge" or "I'm Attending" etc. then the sequence will stop attempting to alert them.

There's lots of clever features designed in delivery sequences, such as:
Auto-Retry Alerting
If you would like to have the same channel attempt 5 repeats, just add 5 steps each 2-minutes apart. Set the same channel for each of them.
Auto-Escalate Alerting
If you would like the alert to become more & more persistent until answered, start with a push notification, wait 2-minutes, send an SMS, wait 4-minutes, send a phone call, wait 8 minutes, send a critical mobile app notification.
Auto-Skip Alerting
If you'd like to send a phone call everyone who doesn't have the app installed, set up a critical mobile app notification to send immediately followed by a phone call after a 3 minute wait. If somebody does not have the app installed, D4H will auto-skip that channel along with the following wait time, and immediately attempt to send the next channel, resulting in a phone call to them straight away. If for some reason a person doesn't reply to the mobile app we will attempt a follow up call to them too.
This functionality opens up a huge volume of options for your different severities and templates.
