One of the biggest limitations of alerting using SMS text alerting or push notifications in a crisis is the character limit when sending. We've solved it by just launching long text alerts so your next activation, page, or team alert can have a full explainer.
We've now added the ability to send alerts with long text. This means that you can add a long text paragraph to any alert you wish to send.  How do you do it? Well, when composing an alert or  creating a template, just press the add text button.
This feature allows you to craft detailed messages or text components in rich text within your alert, providing more context and information. Rich text gives you the inclusion of various formatting options such as bold, italics, highlighter colors, and lists, enhancing the readability and presentation of your alert.
When you send this, we'll include this text with your alert. It will appear in our user interface if using our mobile app or the desktop inbox.
If you include an email channel in your severity, your long text will appear in the body of the email alert.
If you deliver your alert severity by text message or WhatsApp users can just press the included link to open up the long text in a browser window.
